Saw @CryptoSociety42 Link bro's tweet, and I did some digging back then. Here's the result. It's really tough for the Chinese-speaking community to make ad money on X. The main reason is that there are too few ads, and most ads are region-specific. Unfortunately, Chinese is one of the 'least popular' regions on X. Plus, X's ad algorithm is very different from YouTube's. On YouTube, natural exposure is enough, but on X, you also need targeting.
Another big issue is the registration location. The English-speaking community has tons of ads with a wide reach. For example, Coca-Cola ads target the U.S., Europe, and even India, but they might not target 'China' because the ROI is too low.
So, if Chinese content creators really want to make ad money on X, the best registration locations would be the U.S., Europe, or India. Even Japan and Singapore would be better than 'Hong Kong.'
