Microsoft adjusts OpenAI cooperation agreement: will no longer pay revenue sharing to OpenAI According to TechFlow, on April 27th, Microsoft officially announced a revised cooperation agreement with OpenAI, further clarifying the long-term partnership between the two parties. According to the new agreement, Microsoft will still be OpenAI's primary cloud partner, and OpenAI products will be prioritized for launch on Azure unless Microsoft is unable or chooses not to support the relevant capabilities. Meanwhile, OpenAI can now deploy all of its products to any cloud service provider. The agreement also states that Microsoft holds the intellectual property license for OpenAI models and products until 2032, but the license will be changed from exclusive to non exclusive; Microsoft will no longer pay revenue sharing to OpenAI, and OpenAI's revenue sharing to Microsoft will continue until 2030, with the same proportion but a total limit. In addition, Microsoft will continue to participate in OpenAI's growth as an important shareholder.
