The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has added Cambodian Senator Kok An to its sanctions list, accusing him of controlling multiple 'scam compounds.' Along with him, 28 individuals and entities within his network have also been sanctioned. These scams operate through fake investment platforms, using emotional relationships to lure victims into transferring crypto assets with promises of high returns, causing millions of dollars in losses to U.S. victims.
