[US Media: The United States Has Reached Its Limit in Sanctioning Iran's Economy]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, on May 23, foreign media reported that the Trump administration launched an "economic fury" campaign more than a month ago in an attempt to weaken Iran's economy through sanctions. However, so far, Iran has not yielded as a result. Reports indicate that the new economic sanctions campaign, which began on April 16, promised to use "all available tools and powers" to strangle Iran, but so far, these actions are largely similar to previous strategies with the same outcomes. Richard Nephew, a former deputy envoy to Iran and sanctions policy coordinator, stated, "We have reached the limit of what sanctions and economic pressure can achieve. Either we overwhelm them with something new, or we need to start tempering our ambitions." (Jin10)
