Reported by Golden Finance, on July 24, according to CCTV, a recording from a maritime radio public channel provided by a sailor revealed that a commercial vessel named 'Disha' issued an emergency distress signal, stating it was attacked by 'unknown projectiles' near the Strait of Hormuz, with 30 crew members onboard. The recording shows the 'Disha' vessel calling out: 'We have been attacked by unknown projectiles, thick smoke is billowing from the engine room, and immediate rescue is urgently needed. We have 30 crew members onboard.' The vessel's reported location is near the Strait of Hormuz.
In another recording, a speaker identified by the aforementioned sailor as a U.S. personnel issued a warning to a commercial vessel named 'Raven,' stating that its 'continued course toward Iran violates relevant requirements.' The speaker said, 'We are prepared to open fire on your engine room,' and demanded the crew evacuate the engine room within a specified time frame. Vessel information indicates that 'Raven' and 'Disha' refer to the same ship, which was renamed 'Disha' in May of this year.
