[Vitalik: Opposes Excessive Duplication of EVM Chains, Calls for Genuine Innovation in L2 Projects]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports, on February 5th, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin recently published an article criticizing the current blockchain industry's excessive duplication of EVM chains, stating that this approach 'stifles innovation and leads the industry into a dead end.' He emphasized that developers should focus on building projects that bring substantial innovation, such as enhancing privacy, application-specific efficiency, or ultra-low latency features, rather than simply replicating existing technologies and adding optimistic bridging.
Vitalik also pointed out that the connection between projects and Ethereum should be genuine and proposed two valuable application chain architectures:
1. Application chains deeply reliant on Ethereum, maximizing interoperability with other Ethereum applications.
2. Institutional L2s that achieve algorithmic transparency through on-chain Merkle roots and zero-knowledge proofs.
'Do something that truly brings new value to the ecosystem and aligns substance with promotion,' Vitalik concluded.
