ByteDance's 'poisoning incident' turns into a Rashomon-like drama, Tian Keyu swears an oath, Intern A claps back publicly.
Who's telling the truth?
Tian Keyu's account: He claims he stood up for a colleague and used GPT to write a program targeting only Intern A, who was allegedly hogging computational resources. The 'poisoning' lasted about 10 days.
The victim's team, however, alleges: The sabotage went on for 5 months, affecting teams in Beijing, Shanghai, and Seattle. During this time, Tian Keyu even participated in troubleshooting efforts, using the findings to adjust his methods of disruption.
Currently, both sides' accusations remain unverified. Meanwhile, Tian Keyu's startup has reportedly secured $30 million in funding, with a valuation of $200 million. Interestingly, his investors, FiveY Capital and IDG Capital, were early backers of ByteDance.
