[Goldman Sachs: Raises December Brent Oil Price Forecast to $90 Per Barrel, Maintains 2027 Average Price Forecast at $80 Per Barrel]
Reported by Jinse Finance, October 12—Goldman Sachs released a report on Sunday stating that the bank maintains its baseline expectation that Middle Eastern supply will continue to adjust, ultimately driving crude oil prices lower. However, the possibility of further escalation in conflicts still poses significant upside risks. Goldman Sachs has raised its December Brent oil price forecast to $90 per barrel while maintaining its forecast for Brent crude's average price at $80 per barrel in 2027. Additionally, it expects the average price of WTI crude oil to be $81 per barrel in December this year and $73 per barrel in 2027. Goldman Sachs noted that if the average daily production in the Gulf region in 2027 is 5 million barrels lower than the February 2026 level, rather than the baseline scenario of 300,000 barrels lower, Brent crude's average price in 2027 could reach approximately $125 per barrel. Conversely, if the average daily production in the Gulf region in 2027 is 1 million barrels higher than the February 2026 level, Brent crude prices in 2027 could fall to just over $60 per barrel.
