The authorities have finally made it official! Four departments (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and State Administration for Market Regulation) are joining forces to crack down on 'rush-job cars.' Feels like nobody's gonna buy Huawei cars anymore after this!
These rush-job cars are basically reckless shortcuts that put lives at risk. They rely on computer simulations instead of real-world testing. A lot of cases like this have been exposed recently. For example, with some new energy car companies, the door handle testing process is a mess. The national standard requires 10,000 tests, but many companies, in order to speed things up, only conduct 2,000 physical tests and simulate the remaining 8,000. That means only 20% of the tests are real, while 80% are based on simulated data. No wonder the door handles fail to open during critical moments like collisions and fires!
The scary thing about this industry competition is that car companies are barely making profits, so everyone is cutting costs on manufacturing. Selling cars is starting to feel like selling smartphones—launching several models a year. In Europe and the U.S., carmakers typically do a minor update every three years and a major update every five years. But in China, it's one major update per year, and they’re itching to do a minor update every six months. Honestly, when it comes to EVs, I only trust Tesla!
Still buying Tesla stock! TSLA
