[Russian and U.S. Presidents Hold Call, Putin States It Is Currently Impossible to Resume Talks with Ukraine]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, on October 10, Russian Presidential Assistant Ushakov provided details early in the morning local time regarding a call between the leaders of Russia and the United States. Ushakov stated that during the call, Putin gave a detailed account of the measures Russia has taken in response to terrorist attacks carried out by Ukrainian armed forces.
Putin remarked that Ukraine's attempts to disrupt the Russian State Duma elections and carry out attacks on civilians have undermined the possibility of immediately resuming negotiations. He further pointed out that Ukraine's efforts to hinder the advancement of Russian troops have no prospects of success. The Russian military currently has full control of the battlefield initiative and is continuing to make progress.
Putin emphasized that due to Ukraine's stance, particularly its actions aimed at disrupting the Russian State Duma elections, it is currently impossible to resume negotiations with Ukraine. Trump has instructed that the information conveyed by Putin during the call be relayed to the Ukrainian delegation. Ushakov noted that there has been no specific discussion between the two sides regarding the possibility of a bilateral meeting between Putin and Trump. (CCTV News)
