[SpaceX Announces Acquisition of Low-Band Spectrum, Starlink to Become a Major U.S. Mobile Operator]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on October 9, according to an official announcement from SpaceX, the company has signed an agreement to acquire a batch of nationwide low-band (approximately 800 MHz) spectrum licenses, paving the way for Starlink's entry into the U.S. mobile operator market. Combined with its existing second-generation satellite constellation, Starlink Mobile will provide nationwide users with high-speed mobile broadband service with no coverage blind spots. Reportedly, each of Starlink's latest generation V3 satellites has a downlink capacity of 1 Tbps, 10 times that of the previous generation, and an uplink capacity of 160 Gbps, 22 times that of the previous generation.
