Lando @LandoNorris and Haider @Haider
are the true definition of successful star-chasing.
Who is Haider? To put it simply, Haider transformed OKX.
Star Xu @star_okx decided that OKX needed to go global, and Haider was one of the key people who translated that strategy into a global brand. Everything we see about the current OKX brand is built on Haider's foundation.
The bus ad from 2023 is still unforgettable. He introduced everyone to what OKX truly is.
The ad was filled with the future ambitions of this CMO. (Of course, today Haider is the Global Managing Partner & Chief Marketing Officer.)
Haider later revealed a detail in an interview: At the time, OKX's founder wanted the company to truly expand beyond Asia. After getting approval, Haider came up with rebrand concepts in about 10 days and executed the entire rebrand within roughly 30 days.
OKX's own data from 2022 showed that over 65% of traders in Asia recognized OKX, but outside of Asia, the recognition rate was below 15%.
Haider then pushed several major initiatives:
Manchester City
McLaren F1
Tribeca Film Festival
The global "What is OKX?" campaign
Here’s an important takeaway:
He didn’t treat OKX as "just another exchange that needs advertising," but as a brand like Nike, Mastercard, or Red Bull—one that needs to establish global cultural recognition.
McLaren is especially iconic. When they signed the deal in 2022, OKX’s global recognition was still weak, and McLaren’s performance wasn’t at its peak either. Later, McLaren won the 2024 Constructors’ Championship, and this long-term partnership in turn strengthened OKX’s global brand exposure.

As for Lando, no need to say much—he’s the coolest next-gen F1 driver.
Let’s hope he can fight for another championship next year!
