[DogeOS Opens Public Testnet, Supports Building EVM-Compatible Applications with Test DOGE]
According to CoinDesk, the application layer project DogeOS, designed for the Dogecoin ecosystem, has opened its public testnet. Developers can use test DOGE to build Ethereum-compatible applications such as transactions, lending, and stablecoins, with testnet transaction fees paid in test DOGE. Official documentation confirms that the testnet is live, and users can obtain test assets through cross-chain bridges or faucets. In its initial phase, the network relies on permissioned sequencers, trusted execution environments, and a security council. The team plans to leverage the Dogecoin Core proposal OP_CHECKZKP, ultimately enabling Dogecoin miners to verify zero-knowledge proofs. DogeOS was founded by the MyDoge team, but the mainnet launch date has not yet been announced.
