Qingxian's ergonomic chair is the next evolution of ergonomic chairs. I bought the Qingxian OC1 PRO over the past couple of days for around 4000 RMB and listed my old Herman Miller Aeron on Xianyu for sale. No wonder ByteDance replaced their Herman Millers with Qingxian chairs. First off, Qingxian's chairs are different from traditional ergonomic chairs. They're not mesh-based, and they require a battery. Compared to traditional mesh chairs, this one feels softer and more comfortable. The support is just as strong as traditional ergonomic chairs. However, your butt might get a bit warm, but there's seat ventilation. There are two standout features: 1. Back stretch: The hydraulic rod on the backrest can extend and retract electrically, providing a stretching and massaging effect for your spine. After sitting for a long time, the stretching feels super relaxing. 2. Footrest: This thing is insanely comfortable. Personally, I think the footrest is a game-changer. The downside, without a doubt, is that the seat can get warm in summer. The first level of seat ventilation lasts about 2-3 days before the battery runs out, but it automatically shuts off when you leave the chair. Also, it only comes with one battery. I recommend buying an extra one on Xianyu so you can just swap them out when needed. It's not too much of a hassle. In summary, it's better than Herman Miller, but I can't say for sure if it'll sag or have other issues after long-term use. After all, mesh chairs are generally more durable.
