[Invesco Asset Management: Bank of Japan May Raise Rates by 25 Basis Points in December] Deep Tide TechFlow News, September 21, Tomo Kinoshita, a strategist at Invesco Asset Management (Japan), stated in a report that following last Friday's policy rate hike to 1.25%, the Bank of Japan may further raise the policy rate to 1.50% in December. Despite the Bank of Japan's recent rate hikes, its quarterly corporate survey shows that corporate financing conditions have hardly deteriorated. Due to rising energy prices and a weakening yen, the risk of inflation has increased. The Federal Reserve's hawkish shift is also exacerbating the risk of yen depreciation. Kinoshita expects the Bank of Japan to further raise rates in March and July next year, bringing the rate to 2.0%, thereby concluding the current tightening cycle. (Jin10)
