I found a hack for producing beautiful designs with GPT-6 Astra.
If you're tired of AI slop design, trust me, you'll want to bookmark this.
Here's the 5-step system I put together for producing cracked designs with Astra (kill AI slop):
1. Pull inspiration
Stop telling AI to "build a beautiful website."
My advice: point it at real, manually curated designs, and grab 3 references you like from a site like godly dot design, then have Astra browse them and extract the contents.
Make sure to extract the typography, colour system, spacing, hierarchy, and what they all deliberately avoid.
Astra can use its own browser to actually view sites.
2. Build the design system in Claude Design
Take that design DNA into Claude Design so you can actually see it and tweak it.
This is the best low-cost way to visualize and "playground" with design work.
3. Killing AI slop patterns
Your design system tells Astra what to use based on inspo, but not what to avoid, so it can still ship generic garbage.
I put together a prompt (attached below) that eliminates common AI slop patterns. Attach it once alongside your design system from Claude.
4. Personalise
At this point you've got a polished copycat of your references.
Tip: Have Astra render it, screenshot it, place it next to the originals, and find where to make it genuinely yours.
Things like imagery, custom copy, and button layouts can make a huge difference.
5. Execute the final build
Run the final build with all your customisations folded in and any errors cleaned up.
The whole process probably takes <60 minutes, but you'll kill AI slop forever.
