From 'Agent Payments' to 'Task Completion': X-Agent is Building an Onchain Personal AI Assistant

Odaily Planet Daily reports that X-Agent has released its latest technical article, *From Agent Payments to an Onchain Personal Assistant*, revealing its next major product direction: advancing from Agent Payments to an Onchain Personal Assistant capable of understanding user intent, obtaining authorization, executing onchain operations, and continuously tracking results. Unlike simply enabling an AI Agent to 'own a wallet,' X-Agent aims to address a more critical issue: how to ensure that an Agent can safely and effectively complete an onchain task on behalf of the user. For example, when a subscription renewal bill arrives, the AI Assistant can understand the bill, verify the recipient and amount, generate a payment plan, and complete the transaction upon user authorization. Even if there are timeouts or interruptions during the process, it should resume the original task and verify the payment status, rather than blindly repeating the payment. After the payment is completed, the Agent must also confirm whether the service purchased by the user has been successfully delivered. To achieve this goal, X-Agent plans to further integrate three key modules: Agent ID, Agentic Email, and Agentic Wallet. These modules will respectively handle identity and accountability, task and communication interfaces, and controlled onchain fund execution. Through mechanisms such as payment pre-calculation, one-time authorization, budget control, recovery, and reconciliation, X-Agent aims to establish clear safety boundaries for autonomous Agent execution. The core logic can be summarized as: User Intent → Explicit Authorization → Onchain Execution → Result Verification. X-Agent believes that a true onchain AI Assistant is not just about 'initiating a transaction on behalf of the user,' but about persistently completing tasks within controlled permissions and being accountable for the final outcome. This signifies that X-Agent is evolving from Agent payment infrastructure to further explore a persistent onchain AI Assistant tailored for individual users.
