Crypto VC funding rebounded to $𝟱.𝟲𝗕 in Q2 2026, up 𝟯𝟭% 𝗤𝗼𝗤 across 384 deals. Later-stage companies absorbed 78.3% of capital; trading/exchange/lending firms led sectors with $3.52B.
𝗛𝘂𝗽𝘇𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲: Institutional capital is flowing back into crypto infrastructure — structurally bullish near-term. But only 5 new funds raised money in Q2, the lowest fund count since Q4 2019. The dry powder replenishment cycle is stalled. If fundraising doesn't recover, the deployment rebound fades by 2027 as existing funds exhaust capital.
For BTC, this is a mixed signal: near-term inflows support valuations, but the fundraising drought limits how long that tailwind lasts.
