[Jiang Zhuoer: Will Consider Shorting Bitcoin if It Surges Before Rate Hike, Biggest Variable Lies in Walsh's Speech Tone]
Golden Finance reported on September 16 that Jiang Zhuoer, founder of the BTC.TOP mining pool, stated that yesterday, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw a net outflow of $450 million, the highest since June 25, 2026; spot Ethereum ETFs saw a net outflow of $141 million, the highest since January 30, 2026.
He pointed out that Coinbase's negative premium continued to expand today, indicating that funds in U.S. markets such as ETFs may still be selling. If Bitcoin surges before the Federal Reserve announces its interest rate decision, he personally plans to consider shorting.
The Federal Reserve's 25 basis point rate hike this time is almost certain, and the dot plot will likely show one more rate hike within the year. The biggest market variable lies in whether Federal Reserve Chairman Walsh's post-meeting speech leans hawkish or dovish.
