Elon Musk: SpaceX Starship aims to be reused like an airplane! Musk shared the upcoming test plans for Starship at the All-In Summit. He mentioned that the 14th flight will be the last one before attempting to recover the spacecraft. If all goes well, the 15th flight will test recovering the spacecraft using the launch tower's mechanical arms. Currently, the booster has already achieved reuse, but the spacecraft itself has not yet been recovered and reflown. Musk stated that once the spacecraft can also be reused, SpaceX will have the first fully reusable orbital-class rocket. The goal of Starship isn’t just to recover the rocket, but to have both the booster and spacecraft return directly to the launch pad, enabling rapid reuse like an airplane.
