[Aave Labs Proposal: V4 to Establish Isolated Hub, Custodial Assets as Collateral for Stablecoin Borrowing]
According to the Aave governance forum, Aave Labs released an ARFC proposal on September 14, proposing the deployment of a new Aave V4 isolated Hub and Spoke model to introduce institutional custodial assets into the protocol as collateral for borrowing stablecoins. The first example involves BTC held in custody by Anchorage, with Anchorage retaining the underlying collateral throughout the loan lifecycle. Collateral ratios, liquidation penalties, supply and borrowing caps, interest rate models, and oracle configurations will be determined by DAO risk service providers in subsequent AIPs. The proposal must go through a three-step process: ARFC feedback collection, Snapshot voting, and AIP approval.
