U.S. GASOLINE AND DIESEL PRICES SURGE
U.S. fuel prices jumped sharply, adding fresh pressure on consumers and inflation.
Regular gasoline rose 16.2 cents weekly to $4.319/gallon, now $1.151 higher than a year ago.
Diesel surged 31.8 cents to $6.285/gallon, up $2.546 year-over-year.
Market angle: rapidly rising fuel costs could reinforce inflation concerns ahead of Fed policy decisions.(彭博社)
