According to *The Wall Street Journal*, with rising energy prices, new tariffs taking effect, and AI infrastructure driving up electricity and equipment demand, inflation pressure in the U.S. is on the rise again. The market has currently priced in about a 90% probability of the Fed raising interest rates by 25 basis points this week. This will be a key test for Kevin Warsh, who took over as Fed Chair in May. Trump has long called for rate cuts, and the White House recently stated publicly that it doesn’t see the need for a rate hike but also emphasized respect for the Fed’s independence. WSJ pointed out that if Warsh pushes for a rate hike, it will test the relatively calm relationship between him and Trump. Meanwhile, Warsh has repeatedly stated that his policy decisions will be based on economic conditions rather than political factors. https://(wublock123.com)/news/wsj-fed-rate-hike-expected-warsh-trump-truce-tested-68441
