[0x: Over Half of Analyzed Uniswap v4 Hooks Exhibit Malicious Behavior, Some Transactions Deliver 50% Less Than Quoted] Odaily Planet Daily News – DEX aggregator 0x stated in a post that the number of malicious Uniswap v4 Hooks has significantly increased recently. Some Hooks offer attractive prices during the quoting phase but alter the execution price during settlement, thereby stealing funds from users through aggregators, wallets, and trading applications. 0x revealed that after analyzing 84,163 Hooks across six chains, as of September 11, only 19.4% were deemed safe, 54.2% were identified as malicious, and another 26.4% were likely to exhibit malicious behavior. For some transactions routed through malicious v4 Hooks, the actual amount of assets received by users during execution was up to 50% lower than the quoted price. 0x noted that since the beginning of this year, it has routed 81.92 million transactions with a total volume of $42.67 billion, approximately 70% of which involved Uniswap liquidity. Currently, 0x has implemented measures such as detection and liquidity pool audits to prevent related malicious pools from entering transaction routes.
