A lot of people focus heavily on macro, policy and economic data to predict where an asset will move next.
But in seven years of trading, four of them full-time, I have never relied on news to justify an outcome. To me, most narratives are simply distractions. Stories used to convince people that price must do X before it can do Y.
BTC often moves before the reason becomes obvious. By the time the macro environment shifts and the herd recognises it, Bitcoin has usually already made the move. Correlations are often delayed, which means you can understand the broader picture and still completely mistime the trade.
The market does not move because the majority understands it. The majority understands it because the market has already moved.
Consistency comes from observing what price is actually doing, structure, momentum and behaviour, not from allowing every new headline or data release to reshape your conviction.
The only thing that truly matters is observing PA for what it is, not searching for reasons to be bullish or bearish, but trading what is directly in front of you.(Killa)
