South Korea's August exports approached $100 billion, and artificial intelligence capital expenditures are accelerating I wrote about exports to South Korea in July and saw data from the first 20 days, which confirmed that the global demand for high bandwidth memory and storage chips in artificial intelligence servers is still strong. The complete data for August is now available, and the growth rate is even faster than in July. South Korea's exports reached 98.25 billion US dollars in August, a year-on-year increase of 68.7%, and an average daily export growth of 72.5% adjusted for working days. In July, exports increased by 63% year-on-year, exceeding 60% for two consecutive months. 98.25 billion US dollars is also the third highest monthly export value in South Korea's history, only lower than June and July this year. The semiconductor still makes the greatest contribution. In August, semiconductor exports reached 46.65 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 209%, surpassing 40 billion US dollars for the third consecutive month, once again breaking historical records. The semiconductor industry alone accounts for 47.5% of South Korea's total exports, and exports of computer related products have also increased by 419.5%, reaching 6.24 billion US dollars, mainly from enterprise grade solid-state drives used in data centers. There is both an increase in shipment volume and a rise in storage chip prices here, making South Korean exports one of the most direct physical indicators for observing global artificial intelligence capital expenditures. By region, South Korea's exports to China increased by 119.3%, to the United States by 89.3%, to ASEAN by 75.4%, to India by 47.3%, and to the European Union by 14.6%. A country with a population of only over 50 million, with monthly exports approaching 100 billion US dollars, and possessing the most scarce high bandwidth memory and storage chips in the global artificial intelligence infrastructure, South Korea's position in the global manufacturing industry is indeed more important than many people imagine. At this point, you need to be careful when judging the trend of Korean semiconductor stocks. I saw that SK Hynix rose well yesterday. If you still want to short, you need to be careful, especially since the Korean stock market has completed deleveraging. If it rises in the future, the stability of funds may be higher, but I still have no idea about going long. Let's take a look first, and I will continue to maintain the plan of short selling ADR premium. @Gate Crypto、 US stocks, Hong Kong stocks, South Korean stocks, gold CFD、 Predicting one-stop trading in the market
