Let’s talk about copy trading. I mentioned this a long time ago: The essence of copy trading is essentially going long on a trader’s live account. Whether it’s FOMOing over their live trades or following trades on an exchange, when you’re trying everything to copy trade, you’re shifting from analyzing the market and trends to analyzing a trader. A lot of people see a trader making big profits and FOMO into copy trading them—it’s no different from chasing highs and selling lows. But here’s the thing: if you can’t even analyze the market properly, how can you assess the state of a trader? Whether it’s gold, stocks, or crypto, fundamentals and candlestick charts are at least public and objective. How can you guarantee that the trader you’re copying will always have their candlestick charts trending upward?
