The "McDonald's India" intern account exposes unpaid wages, forced to trade meme coins to survive, tweet later deleted
The verified McDonald's India account recently posted under the guise of an "intern," claiming that boss Amit Joshi hasn't paid wages since December 2025. The post stated they were forced to take on two side jobs—customer service and food delivery—to make ends meet, and even "tried trading meme coins but ended up starving every day due to losses." The post quickly went viral, sparking widespread shares and attention.
The account later posted a group photo of a cricket team with "Amit Joshi" tagged, further deviating from the official food brand's usual tone.
The original posts were deleted shortly after. The account then followed up with a new post featuring the hashtags #fakenews and #memecoin, along with an image captioned, "If only our regular tweets could go this viral," hinting that the earlier posts were not the brand's official stance.
