[Three Missouri Men Indicted for Alleged Involvement in an Attempted Bitcoin Robbery in August 2024]
Foresight News reports that three men from Missouri, USA, have been indicted for their alleged involvement in an attempted Bitcoin robbery in August 2024. According to court documents and trial statements, on August 25, 2024, Danbury police arrested six men from Florida who were suspected of participating in a violent carjacking incident, during which they assaulted and kidnapped two passengers in the vehicle. Investigations revealed that the two kidnapped individuals were the parents of suspects involved in the theft of hundreds of millions of dollars in Bitcoin. Between August 21 and 24, 2024, the three men, along with others, traveled to Connecticut, rented vehicles, and purchased supplies including air guns and walkie-talkies. They then tracked the target individual and his parents for two days. Their plan was to forcibly break into the target's home, threaten him, and demand that he transfer the stolen cryptocurrency to an account controlled by the group's organizer.
