The suspects, armed with a handgun and knives, tied up the victims and threatened them for over two hours, while their young children were also present in the house. The attackers allegedly attempted to force the victims to hand over cryptocurrency assets but fled the scene after neighbors called the police. The case has been taken over by the relevant police department in Nîmes for investigation. The victims later stated that they have decided to no longer hold any cryptocurrency assets to avoid similar incidents in the future. Reports indicate that approximately 80 similar cases have been recorded in France since January of this year.
