I always wondered how a no-name, non-US-based prediction-market upstart could secure a nine-figure partnership with FIFA. Especially since they recently closed a $50M funding round a few days ago, yet the World Cup started a month ago. I have an answer: @Predictstreet has financial support and connections with the Abu Dhabi royal family. Let’s investigate: 1/ @Predictstreet’s company, Predict Street Limited, is incorporated and registered in Gibraltar. 2/ The project is the first consumer app of the ADI Foundation, which has its own blockchain and gas token also called ADI. The chain leverages the @zksync stack. 3/ The foundation was initiated by a UAE-based investment firm, Sirius International Holding. Their Group CEO, Ajay Hans Raj Bhatia, also serves as Principal Council Member of the ADI Foundation and appeared with FIFA’s president for the official announcement (see below). 4/ Sirius International Holding is a subsidiary of the International Holding Company (IHC), an Abu Dhabi-listed conglomerate (with +$120B in total assets as of Q1 this year) with a majority stake controlled by the Royal Group. 5/ For context, the Royal Group is a family office of the Abu Dhabi royal family. 6/ How is @Predictstreet visible and accessible in the U.S. if the company is in Gibraltar? They partnered with @Kalshi to solve the user-access restrictions (would trades on Kalshi eventually settle on the ADI chain solely? Could be…).(Ξliézer Ndinga)
