After using rToken and Ondo, I realized that there is still a big gap in tokenizing US stocks. tokenizing US stocks is packaging Nasdaq stocks as on chain tokens, and neither platform is inferior. After testing both rToken and Ondo Stocks, it was found that the experience was vastly different.
First of all, let's talk about rToken directly connecting to NASDAQ/NYSE, and the depth of the order book is visible to the naked eye. Dense hanging orders, fast ordering, price filling highly consistent with expectations, and able to control slippage in the market. Ondo mainly relies on market makers to provide liquidity. The depth of transactions varies greatly depending on different pairs and time periods. When liquidity is good, it's okay, but once the volatility is high or the target is unpopular, the transaction price is prone to deviation.
Detail differences in trading experience
. rToken, due to its direct connection to the exchange and low latency, feels like "filling in seconds". Ondo follows the market maker route, sometimes resulting in additional delays and losses
. rToken is directly connected to Bitget's unified account, allowing for easy transfer of USDT. Crypto assets and tokenized stocks are managed together, resulting in extremely high capital efficiency. It can also serve as contract margin and T+0 settlement. Ondo is an independent system, and the experience is quite fragmented.
. rToken is fully integrated into Bitget's U interface, making it easy to use; Ondo is an independent platform that requires individual familiarity.
RToken emphasizes 1:1 genuine US stock endorsement, managed by Alpaca, and conducts daily PoR audits to ensure full transparency. Ondo adopts a compliant fund structure, regulated by SEC and protected by SIPC, which is also very reliable. However, it leans more towards the traditional RWA fund route, with a difference in reserve proof and audit frequency compared to rToken's daily PoR ratio.
If you are an active trader or native user of cryptocurrency, we strongly recommend rToken. Good liquidity, high capital efficiency, smooth experience, comfortable to use. Traditional compliance preferences are strong and you want to make long-term RWA allocations, Ondo's fund structure may be more appealing to you. The tokenization of US stocks is indeed a trend, but the gap between platforms is much larger than I initially imagined. Choosing the right one, trading is about enjoying; I made the wrong choice, I'm gambling with liquidity every day. Which one are you currently using? Welcome to share real experiences.
