U.S. and Eurozone Government Bond Yields Accelerate Rise as Trump Announces End of U.S.-Iran Ceasefire

Jin10 Data, July 8 — U.S. and Eurozone government bond yields accelerated their rise after Trump announced the end of the ceasefire with Iran. Previously, due to the escalation of U.S.-Iran military tensions, U.S. and Eurozone government bond yields had reached a four-week high. Following Trump's ceasefire remarks, as oil prices continued to climb, yields were further pushed higher. According to Tradeweb data, the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield rose by 4.8 basis points to 5.577%, while the 10-year German Bund yield increased by 8 basis points to 3.064%.
