The Japanese Financial Services Agency and Ministry of Finance have announced revisions, adding 5 new jurisdictions—Anguilla, Oman, Cuba, Dominica, and Botswana—to the Travel Rule, which requires notifying sender and receiver information during the transfer of crypto assets and electronic payment methods. This brings the total number of applicable jurisdictions to 63. The revisions will take effect on August 3. China, Vietnam, and Russia have not been included as they have yet to establish rules equivalent to Japan's notification obligations. However, Japanese exchanges are still required to collect and retain relevant information for transactions involving wallets from non-applicable jurisdictions. (CoinPost)
