[The Cyberspace Administration of China Deeply Implements the First Phase of the 'Clear and Bright: Rectification of AI Application Irregularities' Special Action]
According to a report by Jinse Finance on July 6, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) has been focusing on irregularities in AI applications since the launch of the 'Clear and Bright: Rectification of AI Application Irregularities' special action in April 2026. These irregularities include failure to comply with large model registration requirements, insufficient security and review filtering capabilities of AI platforms, AI data poisoning, and inadequate implementation of labeling for generated synthetic content. The CAC has directed local cyberspace departments to advance key rectification tasks in the first phase and has established a 'Special Reporting Section for AI Application Irregularities' to handle public reports.
With joint efforts from all parties, the first phase has achieved significant progress, including the handling of over 14,000 non-compliant websites, applications, and AI products, the removal of more than 6 million pieces of illegal and non-compliant information, the processing of over 26,000 accounts, the removal of over 1,300 non-compliant AI products, and the takedown of 9 non-compliant open-source datasets.
