In a massive double ruling, SCOTUS gave the president total green-light power to fire the heads of independent agencies at will, completely destroying a 91-year-old precedent. But they drew a hard line at the Federal Reserve, blocking the attempt to oust Lisa Cook. The Fed remains protected while every other independent regulator is officially on notice.
