Most people lose money because they focus too much on short-term moves.
Staring at price fluctuations every few minutes or hours, trying to use high leverage to catch a big profit. In the end, they keep increasing their position size, the risk snowballs, and one sudden move wipes them out completely.
A lot of people seriously underestimate the power of long-term results because their minds are fixated on making money *right now*.
To put it bluntly, this is the most common—and deadliest—mistake in the market.
Right now, I’m buying and holding Bitcoin, planning to hold for two to three years.
Many people think that’s way too long, but history has repeatedly shown that the real big money often comes from riding the trend of major cycles, not gambling on every little fluctuation day-to-day.
Compound interest, patience, conviction—over the long term, these outperform those who try to profit from every single move.
So over the next three to four months, I might look like a clown.
I might not buy at the absolute bottom. But that doesn’t affect my judgment at all, because I’m not chasing the perfect entry point in short-term fluctuations.
This is about positioning for the big cycle.
One thing I’m certain of: time will prove whose judgment is correct.
Buffett once said, the market is a mechanism that transfers money from the impatient to the patient.
