[Iran Warns Ships Against Using Unauthorized Strait Routes]
According to Golden Finance, on June 26, the Iranian government agency responsible for approving and regulating maritime passage through the Strait of Hormuz, the 'Persian Gulf Strait Authority' (PGSA), stated that any passage not conducted along its approved routes will be considered unauthorized and will not fall under the safety guarantees provided by the agency. The agency added that the consequences of using unauthorized routes will be borne solely by the shipowners, operators, and captains. Previously, a new ship attack incident occurred near the Strait of Hormuz; U.S. officials disclosed to *The Wall Street Journal* that the attack was carried out by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, targeting a cargo ship flying the Singaporean flag.
