According to Livecoins, Brazil's Superior Court of Justice has rejected the release request of "Bitcoin Pharaoh's" partner, Mirelis Yoseline Diaz Zerpa. Court documents reveal that Zerpa had previously fled to the U.S. for nearly four years before being deported back to Brazil due to visa issues, where she was subsequently arrested. Federal prosecutors' investigations also traced approximately $3.95 million worth of crypto asset transactions linked to her wallets and international exchange accounts in January 2025. Given her access to substantial crypto assets posing a significant money laundering risk, the court decided to uphold her preventive detention.
