[Tennessee Crypto ATM Ban Takes Effect, Court Rejects Emergency Injunction Request]
According to a report by Bitcoin.com cited by Jinse Finance, on July 9, a U.S. federal court rejected an emergency injunction request filed by GPD Holdings, LLC (operating under the name CoinFlip) and Private IT Corporation CEO Charles Wernicke against Tennessee's crypto ATM ban, allowing the ban to remain in effect while the constitutional lawsuit proceeds. The ban, which took effect on July 1, classifies the intentional installation, placement, or operation of virtual currency kiosks in Tennessee as a Class A misdemeanor. CoinFlip is one of the world's largest cryptocurrency ATM operators, with over 5,500 Bitcoin ATMs across 48 U.S. states and multiple countries.
