[Bitcoin Policy Institute Intervenes in Noah Doe Lawsuit, Seeks to Dismiss the Case]
According to Galaxy research head Alex Thorn on the X platform, the Bitcoin Policy Institute (BPI) has officially filed to intervene in the Noah Doe lawsuit and is seeking to have the court dismiss the entire case. Represented by White & Case, BPI has submitted a proposed response, 15 affirmative defenses, and plans to file a motion to dismiss. BPI stated that its long-term self-custody of Bitcoin reserves is at stake, as the plaintiff's theory that long-term inactivity constitutes abandonment could impact the legal foundation of the Bitcoin self-custody ecosystem.
