The High Court of the United Kingdom has held a procedural hearing on the disposal of assets related to the Qian Zhimin case
According to a report by Golden Finance, on June 8th, Caixin Network disclosed the latest progress on the disposal of assets related to the 60000 Bitcoin case. It is reported that the UK High Court held a procedural hearing on the disposal of assets related to the Qian Zhimin case on June 5th local time. Currently, about 16000 Chinese victims have registered through multiple UK law firms to participate in civil recovery proceedings under the UK's Criminal Gains Act. Compared to the 128000 victims in the Blue Sky Grey case, the number of people entering the UK proceedings is still relatively small, less than 13%; Moreover, as some victims may have registered with multiple law firms at the same time, further investigation is needed in the future.
An important issue at the hearing on June 5th was how to share the joint litigation costs among multiple law firms. Fieldfisher, a large comprehensive law firm in the UK designated by the court as the lead law firm, stated that it had incurred approximately £ 190000 in fees on the joint legal issue. In order to balance the interests of all parties, the judge ultimately made a compromise arrangement: each law firm would pay the corresponding share of £ 190000 to the court account in proportion to the number of victims they represented, with a deadline of 4:00 pm on June 26th.
