[As the MiCA Deadline Approaches, Dubai Becomes a Popular Destination for European Crypto Firms]
According to CoinDesk, with the European Union's 'Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation' (MiCA) deadline of July 1 approaching, unauthorized crypto companies will be prohibited from continuing to provide services to EU customers. Crypto firms are increasingly turning their attention to the UAE. Irina Heaver, a lawyer at Dubai-based NeosLegal law firm, stated that as companies evaluate the costs, time, and uncertainties of obtaining authorization in the EU, inquiries from European founders have risen significantly. Her firm currently receives over 120 inquiries per week from companies and founders interested in establishing operations in the UAE, with about half of them coming from Europe, including Spain, Italy, Germany, as well as Switzerland and the UK, which are outside the scope of MiCA.
