[The People's Bank of China Increases Gold Reserves for the 19th Consecutive Month] According to a report by Jinse Finance, on June 7, data from the central bank showed that China's gold reserves at the end of May stood at 74.96 million ounces (approximately 2,331.52 tons), an increase of 320,000 ounces (approximately 9.95 tons) compared to the end of April, which was 74.64 million ounces (approximately 2,321.56 tons). This marks the 19th consecutive month of gold reserve increases. Data from the State Administration of Foreign Exchange indicates that as of the end of May 2026, China's foreign exchange reserves amounted to $3.4422 trillion, an increase of $31.7 billion from the end of April, representing a rise of 0.93%.
