[U.S. Reportedly Considering Increased Nuclear Deployment in Europe] According to a report by Jinse Finance on June 2, the UK’s *Financial Times* cited information from three informed sources stating that the United States is discussing whether to deploy nuclear weapons in additional NATO European member states. The U.S. has already deployed nuclear-capable bombers in six European countries (Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Turkey, and the United Kingdom). However, U.S. officials have recently signaled an 'open attitude' toward additional deployments beyond these six countries. This move would involve allowing more countries to host the so-called U.S. 'dual-capable aircraft' (DCA)—fighter jets capable of carrying out nuclear strike missions. At the same time, it was noted that there is no immediate urgency to expand the U.S. nuclear sharing agreement. NATO’s 'eastern flank' countries, including Poland and some Baltic states, have expressed interest in this matter, and related discussions are ongoing within NATO channels. The U.S. Department of Defense and NATO have not responded to this report.
