Here’s my reflection: Even for the projects I’m most optimistic about, even the ones I’ve written long research articles on, my holdings have decreased rather than increased during the volatility. At the core, I’m still too inexperienced. Growth, as they say, comes from the deep lessons learned through all kinds of stupid or failed moves, eventually turning into muscle memory. But here’s one takeaway: Good assets are just about earning more or earning less. Bad assets are always about losing more or losing less.
