The Nikkei Index may rise due to the possibility of a US Iran agreement
According to a report by Golden Finance, on May 19th, the Japanese stock market may rise due to hopes of a potential agreement between the United States and Iran to end the war. The Nikkei Index futures on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) rose 1.2% to 61595 points. President Trump has stated that he will postpone the planned US attack on Iran in order to make room for negotiations with Tehran. Investors are paying attention to the development of the situation in the Middle East, as well as any measures taken by the Japanese government and companies to address energy and other product shortages. The Nikkei index fell 1.0% on Monday to 60815.95 points.
