Embu County is at the centre of our national development agenda. Through coordination among the National and County governments, MPs and MCAs, we are transforming the county through key projects. They include the construction of more than 5,000 affordable housing units, 12 modern markets, electricity connections to over 10,000 homes, Kamburu and Kiambere Dam Water Supply Project, and roads, among others. Held a consultative meeting with Embu County leaders, led by Governor Cecily Mbarire, at State House Nairobi. We reviewed the progress of key development programmes across the county and agreed on measures to accelerate ongoing projects and give priority to investments that expand economic opportunities, improve infrastructure, and enhance access to essential services for the people of Embu.(William Samoei Ruto, PhD)
