[Vitalik Recently Targeted by MEV Bot Sandwich Attack in a Small Token Transaction] According to CoinDesk, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin was targeted by the well-known sandwich attack bot jaredfromsubway.eth during a small token transaction on April 30. On-chain data shows that Buterin swapped 26,654 XDB tokens, worth approximately $3.86, for 0.00197 ETH, worth about $4.56. The bot deployed around $1.14 million in WETH to manipulate the price of XDB between SushiSwap and Uniswap V2, executing buy and sell operations before and after Buterin's transaction. After deducting approximately $5.14 in gas fees, the bot actually incurred a loss in this attack, while Buterin's slippage loss was only a few cents.
