[Explosion Occurs in Southern Iran, Iranian Media Suggest UAE May Be Involved in 'Hostile Actions']
According to Golden Finance, on May 8, multiple explosions were reported near Qeshm Island and Bandar Abbas in southern Iran. Iranian Fars News Agency reported that the Bahman Port on Qeshm Island was attacked following 'an exchange of fire between Iranian armed forces and hostile forces.' The Tehran Times stated that the UAE might be linked to the explosions on Qeshm Island. Tasnim News Agency reported signs indicating that the UAE carried out hostile actions at Bahman Port on Qeshm Island, while the explosions at Bandar Abbas were related to Iranian defensive activities against two small aircraft. Tasnim News Agency stated: 'If this is true, the UAE will pay the price for its hostile actions.' Additionally, Al Arabiya reported that Israeli officials claimed Israel had no involvement in the explosions reported in Iran. As of now, Iranian officials have not responded to the incident.
